00:01:20 --> 00:01:33 Yes. I think the sound of the wind made her a little antsy, though. You fell in the ant hole antsy? She went hard. Very still. Cause she was nervous, maybe.

00:01:36 --> 00:01:41 Maybe. We didn't spill too much, though.

00:01:41 --> 00:01:48 Well, thanks for doing that. Why don't you three find something to do outside for a little bit while I make a snack for everyone? Outside?

00:01:54 --> 00:02:00 You are pretty wiggly, Thomas. But playing in the wind can be fun. There's nothing to be nervous about.

That's an old umbrella, Thomas. I could be Mary Poppins. You might really blow away if you use that outside today. Is this it? No, that's. What is that? I think it's the kite. Little rodent. No kidding. I don't think that will fly very well. I think the umbrella will do better than that.

Maybe they'll all fly the highest. What are you using for the frame, Mary? Some sticks I found outside. I'm using them from the barn. What are you using, Leah? I grabbed some thin strips of wood from the scrap pile in Daddy's workshop. Speaking of scrap, this fabric for Mommy. Scrap in is perfect. Yeah, I love the patterns. Which fabric are you using, Thomas? I'm using my blue paper. It's easier to tape to the scrap. Oh, fun. Knot. Knot. Who's there? Wind. Wind who? Wind. Toys are your tight. I think we're just about there. Now we just attach the string and.

Yeah, those sticks you used for the frame is pretty big. Rats. It's okay. We can fix it. What about your kite, Thomas? Should we try yours next? I think mine is too light. How do you say that, Thomas? It already blew away. Oh, I'm sorry. It's okay. Let's try yours, Leah. Okay. All right. On the count of 30. One. Mary. Two. Three. Mary, four. Just kidding. On three. One, two, three. Run. Run, run, run. Think it's working? Kind of. I guess. Hi, Daddy.

00:08:30 --> 00:08:37 No, we have to finish. Well, what is it? Are there blueberries in it?

00:08:41 --> 00:08:47 Okay, maybe just a quick snack, then we'll finish the kites.

00:08:47 --> 00:08:53 You know, when daddy and I were dating, we went to the park to fly a kite. That same kite that we have in the shed?

00:08:53 --> 00:08:56 Actually, yeah, that one's all busted now.

00:08:56 --> 00:09:13 I'm not surprised. It is pretty old. Well, daddy was flying the kite and it went so high that it got stuck in a tree. So I decided to go climb the tree and try to get it. And as I was climbing the tree, he was laughing and giggling. He thought it was so funny.

00:09:14 --> 00:09:19 You better believe it. I climbed to the tippy top of that tree and got the kite.

00:09:19 --> 00:09:25 Wow. Well, hopefully we can get all kites to fly that high. Super high.

00:09:29 --> 00:10:41 Okay. Come on. Alright. This is it. I can feel it. Ready? Ready. Go. Is it supposed to be doing that? I don't think so. I think my kite's tail is too short. Yeah, it could probably use another couple of feet. I need another trouble of wings, not feet. Plus, I don't think the tape is holding the wood together very well anymore. Is my tail too long? Thomas, you wasn't supposed to use the whole spool of ribbon. The tail is longer than this string. Oops.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:55 Well, my tail is too short. I think my tail is too long. I think my kite's tail is just right. But still too heavy.

00:10:55 --> 00:11:18 Hmm. Let me see. Yeah, that's the right length, Mary. But I think the ribbon is too wide. I really like the ribbon you chose, Thomas. That's the right thickness. Well, you all did something right for your kites. And you all did something different. But not all the right things to make it fly are on the same kite. Which means it probably won't fly properly.
